The summer practice trip of Beihang University students - Tianmu Hydroc has come to a successful conclusion

On July 1st, students from Beihang University, brimming with anticipation, embarked on a two-week summer practice trip at Tianmu Hydroc. At the opening ceremony, Professor Xu Weiqiang, the founder, introduced to the students the rich activity arrangements during the practice period, ensuring that they not only got up close and personal with the cutting-edge technologies of science and technology but also could actually participate in the research and production process of the models, deepening the integration of industry and education.

During these two weeks, the students started with the practical assembly of hydrogen fuel cells and, under the guidance of their intern teachers, learned about every step from the identification of components to assembly. On this basis, the course enters the stage of designing and developing hydrogen-powered unmanned aerial vehicles. Based on the theoretical knowledge they had learned, the students were divided into groups to discuss. From the structural design of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to the matching of the power system and the optimization of the endurance capacity, they integrated innovative thinking into the design. Through continuous modification and improvement, they gradually formed their own group's hydrogen-powered UAV design plan.

During the quality expansion session, the company organized the students to visit the Liangzhu Museum and the China Version Museum. One by one, the exquisite jade articles, ancient relics, as well as the cultural inheritance and development of different historical periods, enabled the students to appreciate the diversity and continuity of culture, greatly enriching their own cognition.

The enterprise visit session allowed the students to get up close and personal with the cutting-edge of the industry: at Hydroc Technology, the students entered the hydrogen-powered drone production line and observed the latest research and development achievements. The company specially invited the person in charge of the patrol and special police of Xinchang County Public Security Bureau to hold a symposium on police applications. Through various patrol videos, police application demonstrations and other contents, they explained the wide application of drones in police work. The advanced manufacturing technology of Wanfeng Aviation and the innovative achievements of Jimu Technology in unmanned aerial vehicles are also impressive, closely integrating classroom knowledge with industrial practice and broadening professional horizons.

The cultural and sports activities during the practice period injected vitality into the tense study life and also enhanced the connection among the students. The team basketball games, table tennis games, badminton games and football games were all very exciting. The students relieved their stress and enjoyed the happiness brought by sports in the process. These activities enhanced the cohesion of the team and enabled everyone to build deep friendships amid laughter and joy.

The closing ceremony of this social class was held on the afternoon of July 11th. The students were divided into groups to report the research results of their internship projects, fully demonstrating their learning gains during this period. The supervisor selected the outstanding internship teams through comprehensive scoring, and the students also jointly recommended the outstanding interns. At the ceremony, everyone shared their experiences and insights from the practical activities, further elevating the value of this growth journey through communication. This practice is not only a journey of enhancing knowledge and skills, but also an unforgettable journey of growth.
